The Railorad Museum of Virginia located in Portsmouth now has a locomotive. It has been in a Roanoke scrap yard rusting away for over 60 years.

The following photos show the N&W 1148 being reassembled. Looks like an over sized HO Locomotive kit. The long-awaited locomotive arrived in three weighty chunks over the past week.
The locomotive is part of the outdoor exhibit for the as yet unbuilt museum building.
